Don't raise shaping skills too fast at the beginning.Use it when you're facing multiple enemies to stun/disable them so you can focus on one target at a time You will get the Daze skill very quickly.You can also go to the pools in the 2nd area (Abandoned Vale) for the same result, and to recreate your army of creations. Go back to any town to instantly recover your health / energy.
